The Los Angeles Lakers were looking for a tall player to complement
standout guard Kobe Bryant when they acquired Pau Gasol from Memphis.
Gasol has not disappointed them.
Bryant scored 31 points and Gasol 26 on Monday, leading the Lakers to
a 106-97 victory over host Charlotte.
"Adding Pau to the mix, we have something that has to be dealt with,"
Bryant said after the Lakers improved to 4-1 since the trade for
Gasol.
